LNC Meeting Report, August 16-17, 2005, Kansas City MO
by Sean Haugh
Another trip to a midwestern city I haven’t seen in more than 25 years. Kansas City barbeque is everything as advertised, very pleasant for a visit but I am glad to be back in eastern NC where sugar is not an essential ingredient. The KC Airport Marriott offered some of the very best service I have ever encountered at a hotel, and our room had a backdoor which opened onto a small lake. They must’ve known the rednecks were coming, should’ve brought my fishing pole. One other hotel note, the Super 8 in Wentzville MO has the best shower I have taken in years. Highly recommended!

Let me say at the outset that I do not support the war in Iraq–or the President who started it. But I will also not be participating in the media-soaked war protests launched in Crawford, by a lady named Cindy Sheehan.
