The shame deepens as torture is revealed

Torture - Noun - “1a. Infliction of severe physical pain as a means of punishment or coercion. b. An instrument or a method for inflicting such pain. 2. Excruciating physical or mental pain; agony: the torture of waiting in suspense. 3. Something causing severe pain or anguish” The American Heritage Dictionary, 4th Ed., 2000.

Why the surprise at US Military torture of Iraqis?

After all, cops get away with it every day here in the states.

Legislators get away with it with all the unlawful statutes applied to the people.  Of course, the only ones tortured are those who know the law, and how it is supposed to be.
